Pumpkin-Nutella Bars with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Glaze

Happy Hump Day!

I wanted to share a very special recipe with you today.  It's from the genius brains of Miss Becky from her adorable blog, Olives n Wine.  Today is Becky's one year Blogiversary!  Time flies when you're having fun!  Congrats pretty lady! :)

Have you picked up on the surprise yet...huh??

A bunch of Olives n Wine friends came up with a wonderful idea of making, posting, and then eating many of her different recipes.  SURPRISE!

As soon as I saw Becky's recipe {and amazingly drool-worthy photos} of these beautiful pumpkin bars with that incredible looking frosting, I knew I was going to make them. I adore  Nutella and chocolate. I adore all things pumpkin. Let's just say the girl gets me! I was SO happy to make them sooner than later for this purpose!  This recipe is pretty to look at, so easy to concoct, the cake is so moist and delicious and is going to be my go-to chocolate cake recipe from now on. for real.    And there's pumpkin in it!  Perfect!

And if someone is allergic to pumpkin, just leave it out.  However, this recipe is not overwhelming with the pumpkin. It's very subtle.

Becky, I have to say, your photos are SO much prettier than mine. Annnnnd I think they just look better too.   I bet they taste very similar, though! :)  I had zero issues making these, except for the fact that I kept pacing back and forth in front of the oven anticipating the finished buzzer sound.

I LOVE that pumpkin color swirled in the cake like that!  Stunning!

I ain't gonna lie.  I devoured all 2 1/2 of these babies the very same night I made them.  I did wait about an hour until all was cooled and the glaze hardened up a bit.  You just have to make this recipe.  Bring it to Thanksgiving for dessert.  Everyone will love you just a little bit more.

Oh yes. Milk.  You will need milk.  Because as Becky notes, these have a cake like texture to them.  Milk and cake is such a perfect marriage. Mmmm.

Give these a whirl...you will be so happy you did!

Cheers to you, Becky!  I can't believe you've been at this adorable blog of yours for an entire year!  I think you're doing an amazing job...keep it up!

And I hope you enjoy your special day!!

Have a great Wednesday, friends!

Tell me:

What flavor do you adore the most:

Nutella, Pumpkin, or chocolate.  All three?
