Hi There.
First of all, I have to say I have really missed blogging
and writing. I have missed pondering about what my next post would be. I have
also missed cooking and coming up with fun and delicious recipes. I have missed you guys as well. Don’t worry though, I’ve been reading and
keeping up to date with my favorite blogs like crazy. It’s been nice to step
away from computer screens other than my office and the ridiculousness that is
the Internet and Face book and Tweets and what not. Face book has been making me feel as if I’m watching
a twisted combination of The Real Housewives with its drama and a dash of immature
high school girls and their crazy insecurities. I’m just sort of over it.
That being said, just because I take more breaks from it
all, doesn’t mean I don’t utilize these social media outlets. They still have a great purpose from time to
time. It’s just nice and healthy to take a break every now and then. My break was a little longer than intended. My main priority was to have my own domain. I
started this blog 7 months ago and felt it was time to spruce it up and soon! So
there will still be tons of delish food postings and recipes; all involving
moderation, daily food and life. It’s a work
in progress each day, but I think that’s what makes it exciting.
There’s another reason why my break was a tad longer than
expected. You see, I’ve been working on
something else that’s also pretty important. But that important thing has forced
me to stay away from you and on the couch instead. It’s made me feel like crap one day and the
next day completely A-OK and baffled. It’s made me crave foods that I hardly ever
ate before, such as fast-food and ice cream.
If I’ve confused you to the brim already, I’ll give you a hint: this thing is a baby. Yup! A baby; a tiny little bean! Well, according to my iPhone baby app, it’s currently
the size of a fig. I like calling it little bean though, for some reason. I’m sure I’ll give them a real actual human
name in good time.
I’m 12 weeks along
and we should meet him or her on or sometime around February 25th. We are
thrilled! I’m so thrilled to see how I
become as a mom and also thrilled to see Gary as a father. I know he’ll be
great, but us as a team, raising a human is so exciting and overwhelming all at
the same time. I’m excited to see us as
parents and headed into this next chapter of our lives.
I’ll be posting a lot more of how the past three months of
being pregnant has been and I hope to get crackin’ in the kitchen again! I’m going through mega whisking and chopping withdrawal.
{And casseroles, too}. I cannot wait until Fall arrives. Oh, and of
course this baby aka Little Bean.
Let’s do this!
I love it honey!!!!!!
