Double Chocolate Cranberry Iced Cookies

There's something funny about these cookies.  I look at them and I think Christmas.  I taste them and I think sinfully-delicious.  And then I think again...Christmas!

I mean, cranberries and frosted things totally have the feel of Christmas, right?  I have a confession to make:  I secretly want it to be Christmas time again.  It's my favorite time of year; mainly because of all the baking that takes place in my kitchen. With either 80s pop music loudly playing or of course, some Christmas tunes. Did I say too much? ;)

Moving on... any cookie is pretty great to have during any time of the year for sure!  But these cookies are Christmas Baking List worthy!  These are so chewy, so moist, so sinful-tasting, and very addicting.  The cranberries are probably the most 'decently healthy' ingredient. A little bit.  These are perfect for freezing and ready to be eaten within five minutes if you have a relentless sweet tooth one day. Or if you just want a sinful snack.

Did I mention these are so simple to make?!

You'll have to just make these and taste for yourself!

Double Chocolate Cranberry Iced Cookies

Ingredients:

1 box of Devils Food Cake Mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup veggie oil
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 semi-sweet chocolate chips

-Heat oven to 350 degrees.

- In medium bowl, mix all ingredients together.  Shape dough into balls and place on a non-stick cookie sheet.

-Bake cookies for 7-8 minutes.  Let cookies completely cool before you top with the glaze.  Keep in refrigerator or freeze. *these are SO delicious cold!

Vanilla Glaze Recipe

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

3-4 T. milk {whole milk is best for this glaze}

1/8 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

1 T. unsalted butter, melted

- Mix first four ingredients together, then add melted butter and mix well.  The glaze should be totally lump-free and very thick.  Drizzle as much as desired over cookies. Place cookies in fridge.

These are so decadent I can't even stand it.  Oh but I can.
